This line of research focuses on the analysis of the sectors of power generation, transmission, distribution and consumption of electrical energy, with emphasis on latest technologies and sustainability of primary resources.
The research is oriented towards non-conventional renewable energies and the spread of efficient use of electricity in transport sectors, heating and cooling, and residential and industrial consumption.
Among the notable projects include are the development of electric vehicles and mathematical tools for decision-making in the operation and planning of systems, stability analysis of power systems, designing and market regulation; energization design and smart grid including innovative control actions on network devices, generation and consumption; analysis of the impact of renewable energy in power systems; and the study of adaptation strategies to climate change.
