On August 11, the External Advisory Committee was established. The body, which will meet twice a year, is to provide strategic guidance on course study programs as well as research and extension activities carried out by the Department of Electrical Engineering.
The profile of its members adequately covers the areas of the work of the DEE: lines of specialization, research, and extension. The members take part in the activities and events of the Department and the Faculty of Physical Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Chile.
Goals of the CAEx
The objectives of the CAEx are “To provide an external, well-founded and strategic opinion on the curricula of the Electrical Civil Engineering course, as well as in the research activities carried out by the Department of Electrical Engineering.”
The goal of the DEE, emphasized by its Director, Luis Vargas, is “To turn the Department into a reference and leader in innovation and entrepreneurship in the technological developments of the country”.
